Easy Fish Restaurant, Wilmslow

Brief: Ahead of the restaurant’s opening in 2019, the interior designer commissioned bespoke banquette seating to help create an exclusive and welcoming interior for this high-end seafood restaurant.

Our Work: Working from the designer’s initial ideas, I developed the design and produced the furniture. When the owner changed the original corner layout to a long, continuous banquette accommodating more guests, I redesigned and adapted the seating without adding extra cost for the client. The finished furniture was then delivered and installed.

Key Details: Elegant fluted backrests, carefully layered seat construction for lasting comfort, and commercial-grade faux leather tested to approximately 300,000 Martindale rubs for exceptional durability.

Result: The banquette provided comfortable, stylish seating while complementing the restaurant’s carefully chosen colour scheme. It remained in intensive commercial use for five years, demonstrating both its durability and the quality of its construction.

Northern Soul Grilled Cheese – Manchester

Brief: Northern Soul Grilled Cheese required bespoke upholstered seating for its new sandwich bar in Manchester city centre. As cheese was central to the company’s name and identity, the colour scheme needed to reflect the brand while remaining practical for a busy hospitality environment.

Our Work: We created custom seating featuring a distinctive cheese-yellow backrest, paired with a darker seat colour that was easy to clean and helped conceal everyday marks. Once the design was approved, we immediately began production to meet the tight opening schedule.

Key Details: Brand-matched colour scheme, durable and easy-to-clean upholstery, bespoke manufacture and installation, with the entire project completed within approximately one to two weeks.

Result:The finished seating was delivered on schedule and installed in just half a day, allowing the restaurant to open later that same week with a bold, practical interior that perfectly complemented the Northern Soul brand.
